System.IO.File provides static methods for text/binary I/O. My.Computer.FileSystem is a VB-specific shortcut with the same capabilities. ReadAllText is simplest for small files; for large files use StreamReader/StreamWriter. ReadLines is lazy (iterates), ReadAllLines is eager (array).
