How this list is built
Model families, not versions — a family name stays recognisable for years while version numbers change monthly. We keep only what can be checked against an official source: who provides the family, whether the weights are open, and which modalities it covers. No pricing, context-window, benchmark or ranking data: those change too fast for a static page, and there is no single agreed standard to rank by.
